West Wind Farms' Customer Appreciation Day
Our Annual Customer Appreciation Day was GREAT this year - best yet! The children were excited about being on a real farm where their food comes from, and they had a great time with the children's events. They petted young livestock, including a lamb and goat, and learned about how both we and the wildlife use their products. Some bottle-fed a calf. The children also tried their hand at milking a goat and a dairy cow, collected colorful hens' eggs from the chicken bus, took a hay ride around the farm, saw Juliette the beautiful cow who thinks she's a person, and decorated fall pumpkins to take home!
We were blessed with perfect weather- it was an absolutely gorgeous day!! Many guests expressed how much they enjoyed the drive up to the farm, and their awe at the beauty of West Wind Farms and the surrounding area. Folks arrived from near and far, including visitors from other states.
We want to thank our customers for helping us to have a successful sales day following the event. It's nice to know that our products are so appreciated! We love this comment from one of our patrons from last year: "Who can't help getting excited about knowing their food comes from such a wonderful, environmentally conscious place? Even more important, how many people can really say, "I know where my food comes from...... I know who grew the food I'm eating." That's what it's all about. Thank you.
We also want to extend a special thanks to the Knoxville/Oak Ridge Chapter of Weston A. Price Foundation and our own West Wind Farms "Friends of the Farm" volunteers for all their assistance and support! We couldn't have done it without you. You're very special to us!
